Sponsorship and Donation Opportunity: Bucks Biz Client - Sports Traider

Bucks Biz client Sports Traider are looking for sponsors who can contribute towards the funding of sports equipment and have set up a Golden Giving page.

Their goal is to provide as many outcomes as possible of which they would be delighted to share.

Sports Traider is a youth-focused charity and based at our iCentre in Newport Pagnell, as well as across the UK. The charity offers youngsters the kit and support they need to discover and fulfill their sporting ambition and potential, whatever their background, ability or disability.

Sports Traider have established the first chain of charity shops in the UK that specialise in sports kit and equipment. The aim is to make clothing and sport equipment affordable to all, and at the same time generate a sustainable source of funding to help disadvantaged young people participate in sport.

The charity then channels all of its the money back into grassroots sport within the community area from which it was donated, encouraging kids to try new sports and help talented sporting youngsters excel. For example, by organising community sports coaching sessions, giving access to sporting facilities, helping with club fees or transportation and getting talented but disadvantaged athletes to training and events.

Wheel power is needed to succeed!

During the Paralympics, both in London and more recently in Rio, Sports Traider were inspired by the achievements of the athletes as well as their motivation and their individual stories.

What they don't always see and understand is the impact it has on youngsters and young adults who find themselves in similar positions to their heroes, inspired by exactly the same stories, but with aspirations to reach those same achievements.

Since the Paralympics, Sports Traider have had many youngsters, parents and schools asking for help, support and advice in getting sports wheelchairs, adapted bikes or equipment.

There is also a great demand too from local clubs who want to be in a position to offer the support by having the equipment needed available. 

How can the Bucks Biz community help? 

Equipment can be expensive; depending on what sport, the costs can vary between £500.00 and £4,000.00.

Sports Traider are looking for sponsors who can contribute towards the funding of equipment. Every little helps, and our goal is to provide as many outcomes as possible of which we would be delighted to share.
